Food poisoning is rarely serious and usually gets better inside a week. You can generally deal with your self or your toddler at home.
Check when you have food poisoning
Symptoms of food poisoning consist of:
• Feeling unwell (nausea)
• Diarrhoea
• Being unwell (vomiting)
• Belly cramps
• A high temperature of 38C or above
• Feeling generally sick – which includes feeling worn-out or having aches and chills

The signs generally begin inside a few days of ingesting the meals that prompted the infection. Every now and then they begin after a few hours or not for a few weeks.
How to deal with food poisoning your self
You can usually treat yourself or your baby at home. The symptoms normally pass within a week. Stay off college or work till the signs have stopped for 2 days. That is whilst you're most infectious.
